What is the CSS MPT?

The MPT is an objective, multiple-choice test designed to assess your general knowledge and aptitude for civil service roles. It serves as a screening mechanism, eliminating candidates who fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

Key Features of the MPT:

  • Test Duration: The test lasts for 3 hours and 20 minutes.
  • Number of Questions: The number of questions is 200.
    • Format: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) across five diverse sections:
      • English
      • General Ability
      • Everyday Science
      • Precis & Comprehension
      • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries one mark, and there’s no negative marking.
  • Passing Marks: You need to secure at least 33% marks to qualify for the main CSS written exam.
